FAQs

Do you distribute supplements from other companies that I don’t see listed here and do you keep all of their products in stock?

We do have distribution agreements with a lot of companies and listing all of the items that are in stock or available at short notice is difficult. Give us a call (800-775-5741 (Toll free in the US) or 1-740-745-1122 outside the US) or drop us an e-mail if you are looking for something specific that you don’t see. If, on the off chance we don’t have it, we can probably steer you to someone who does.

We stock everything (and then some) of the products that you find in the on-line store, but we do not keep everything in stock of all the companies that we distribute for. For example, we carry all of the NOW Foods products and discount them by about 15%, but we don’t stock everything they produce. If someone is interested in a NOW Foods product that we don’t happen to have in stock, we order it in plus extra so we will have it next time. We place the orders immediately for items not in stock and all backorders are shipped immediately upon arrival, sometimes the very same day they arrive.

What Other Companies products do you distribute?

We distribute the entire line of NOW Foods, Rain Rock nutritionals, Food Science of Vermont, Divinci Labs, NOW Foods, Wellgenix to name just a few.

Can you give me advice on what product to use and how to use it for a specific condition?

As much as we would love to help with this kind of request, we are only allowed to make general suggestions. We are not permitted by law with delivering anything that might be considered medical advice. We might be able to point you in the right direction and will be adding sections that have more in depth information on vitamins, herbs, enzymes and other nutrients and what you might find useful.

Sometimes the label is confusing. How can I tell what the actual potencies of the ingredients in a supplement actually are?

Labeling can be very deceiving and a little bit confusing, but a close examination of the label with the right understanding can fix that. First and foremost ALWAYS check the serving size. Quite often distributors will list their potencies per 2, 3, 4 or even more tablets or capsules. This is a way to make a product appear to be more potent than it actually is. What this means is the listed potency of a specific ingredient is how much is found in the total number of tablets listed under “serving size”. You must divide the listed ingredient by the number of servings to figure out how much is in EACH tablet size. For example: If you have 1000 mg of Vitamin C in a given product, and the serving size is 1, then the tablet contains 1000 mg of Vitamin C. But, if the serving size is 2, then you divide 1000 by 2 and you find that each tablet has only 500 mg. If it lists 1000 mg of Vitamin C and the serving size is 4, then the actual dosage of Vitamin C per tablet is only 250 mg. Don’t be tricked by just looking at the potency, you also have to look at the serving size. You might find that something that appears to have a very high potency of a specific ingredient, actually has a weak potency. Taking the serving size into account is the best way to determine the real potency of any nutritional supplement.

How soon is my order shipped after I place it?

Usually, orders are shipped the same day they are received if they arrive by 2:00 PM on a week day. The exceptions to this would be if we happen to be out of stock. If something is backordered, the backorders are typically shipped the same day that our backorder arrives in our office.

How much do you charge for freight and what carrier do you use to ship your orders?

We charge a flat $5.00 fee for freight and NO handling charge. The orders are either shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) or Priority Mail through the US Postal Service. We choose the carrier, but you can choose a different service if you prefer. If it costs more to send through the carrier that you have chosen, then we charge what it costs us to ship it to you through the carrier of your choice. Priority Mail is typically delivered no more than three days after it is shipped, and is usually delivered within 2 days. You will find that the flat $5.00 freight charge is usually less than it costs us to ship your order. We are examining a new policy of free freight with orders over $150.00

How much do you charge for handling?

We charge NO handling fee. We don’t care much for the policy of charging a handling charge. You are already paying for freight, why should you pay handling?
